There’s just one thing missing from Gia Renyard’s life: sexual adventure. And the one man she’d like to have it with is her hot co-worker, Luke Monroe. If only company rules didn’t prohibit her from asking him out. So Gia comes up with a plan: make herself over into a fantasy seductress, follow Luke to a convention in Sin City, and have her way with him for one erotic weekend. The man will never even know who did him.

Everything is going according to plan—until Gia discovers that Luke is perfect for her outside the bedroom too. And suddenly she’s no longer content to let what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas…(Thanks to GoodReads.com for the summary)

My Thoughts –

Where does the story take place? Sin City and couldn’t tell
Is the title a good/bad choice for the story? It’s ok – she was really only fearless when she was Vanna
List the top 3 characters and 1 word to describe them each. 1) Gia/Vanna = inhibited 2) Luke = superb 3) The girls – GOAT (Greatest of all time)
Give the book an alternate ending…or were you happy with it? It’s great
Did you cry, laugh, sigh, cringe, fume or feel nothing? Laughed, sighed and frustrated

This story was cute and steamy. I think Gia and Luke are a great couple both at work and in the bedroom. I think the support group of her Girlz, was awesome. All of them fit together so perfectly and balanced each other out. Gia just lacked self-confidence, which a lot girls/women suffer from. She had it going on and didn’t realize it, didn’t package it right and didn’t go for what she wanted. I really like Luke throughout the entire story. He really was clueless about who Gia was and that was slightly frustrating, but it all worked out in the end.

This was a quick, fast paced wicked read. I thank the author for not using language no one this day in age would use and for not being corny. I’d definitely read more about the Girlz from this series!! Great job:)

Summary:

Addison Caldwell has her future laid out before her. She has good friends, applications in the mail for PA school, and sweaty yoga to take the edge off of her lack of love life. Just when she finds herself right where she wants to be, Addison stumbles on a familiar stranger standing before her at a coffee shop. He’s beautiful and brilliant. She’s immediately drawn to him and can’t put her finger on how she could possibly have met him before. She finds herself tumbling head first toward a man that she knows is in a league composed solely of him and a bevy of Victoria Secret Supermodels.

“Wait,” he said, reaching out to touch her hand.

The second his hand reached hers, Addison felt a warmth spread through her body. The innocent contact stopped her mid-stand and she whipped her head down. His sturdy hand was barely resting on hers, and yet it was as if he had clenched it directly onto her heart. Holy. She pulled her hand back instinctively, confused by her body’s reaction to such an innocent touch.

What the hell am I getting myself into?

Bound by Night ~ Larissa Ione

Summary –

The first installment in a sexy new paranormal romance series by Larissa Ione, author of the bestselling Demonica series!

Now she devotes her life to finding a vaccine against vampirism, hoping to wipe out her memories—along with every bloodsucker on the planet. But there’s one thing she cannot destroy: her searing, undeniable attraction for the one man she should hate and fear the most . . .

A VAMPIRE OUT FOR REVENGE
A member of the renegade vampire MoonBound Clan, Riker is haunted by demons of his own. When he recognizes Nicole and remembers how her family enslaved his loved ones, his heart burns for vengeance. But when he kidnaps Nicole and holds her in a secret lair, his mortal enemy becomes his soul obsession, his greatest temptation, and, perhaps, his only salvation—a hot-blooded lover who could heal him with her touch . . . or bury him forever. (Thanks to GoodReads.com for the summary)

My Thoughts –

Where does the story take place? In some futuristic, dystopian-like setting in the mountains/forest somewhere
Is the title a good/bad choice for the story? Not sure – were the vampires really bound by night. I didn’t see really evidence that anything might happen
List the top 3 characters and 1 word to describe them each.  1)Nicole – lost  2)Riker – vengeful  3)Hunter - leader
Give the book an alternate ending…or were you happy with it? It all worked out, so I can’t complain
Did you cry, laugh, sigh, cringe, fume or feel nothing? Chuckled, sighed, fumed and then some…

This was a great story. Super fast paced and easy to read. The main characters have wicked chemistry and there’s a great action/danger element. I think it was a good read and the world created was very interesting. I liked the uniqueness of these vampires and the environment they live in.

I only had an issue of the ‘I love you but have hated and feared you all of my life’ situation. I
also think a little bit more world building would have been nice – something I usually never day because I hate overly descriptive books.

My Thoughts –

Where does the story take place? Denver
Is the title a good/bad choice for the story? It is the boy’s name
List the top 3 characters and 1 word to describe them each. 1)Rule – incomplete 2)Shaw – determined 3)Gabe - psycho
Give the book an alternate ending…or were you happy with it? I was more than satisfied with the ending.
Did you cry, laugh, sigh, cringe, fume or feel nothing? All of those things and then some.

I absolutely love this story. Love it. I loved all of the characters, except Gabe, and I just loved everything about it.

Rule. What can you really say about Rule. He’s a gorgeous, self-hating manwhore. He feels responsible for the accident that caused his twin brother to die years earlier. He’s estranged from his family and makes himself feel better through booze and sex.

Shaw is great. She doesn’t put up with Rule’s shit, but still hurts every time she sees him with another girl. She misses Remy but has always wanted Rule. As an integral member of Rule’s estranged family, she continually tries to fix something that needs more than her and is maybe too far broken.

I love how these two come together. It’s intense and so passionate. I enjoyed their exchanges and also liked watching them both grow into the people they were destined to be.

The other characters in the book are pretty cool as well. Nash, the roommate/co-worker. Rome, the older military brother. Jet, the band member and so on. Just great all around – they all complimented the story perfectly.

This story was easy to read, used modern dialogue/wording and I didn’t want to put it down once I started it. It has some hot, hawt lovin’, an interesting danger element and a story about growth/forgiveness. I’m looking forward to reading Jet’s tale next!!
