review: Cowboys Like Us - Vicki Lewis Thompson

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Real cowboys aren't born. They're made…

Logan Carswell has just kissed his professional baseball career goodbye. Goodbye dreams, career and future. For now, though, he's working at the Last Chance Ranch and the town saloon, where sexy bartender Caro Davis is definitely taking his mind off his troubles…

Caro's days have been so hectic, she's forgotten all about the finer aspects of life. Like men. And sex. And really smokin'–hot sex with men like Logan. But when their two worlds collide—and boy, do they ever collide—they both realize that once the gear is off, a cowboy is still a cowboy! (thanks Goodreads for the summary)

I think this is a great story. It’s not my favorite of the six book sout so far, but I enjoyed it immensely. Logan and Caro are a neat pair. Logan thinks he doesn’t have much to offer of himself other than anything baseball related. Caro is just about worn out, working like mad and driving out to see her grandmother all the time. I really liked it when Logan went with her and took the time to hang out with the older crowd. Maybe he didn’t see it, but that was just awesome and special of him to do that. And when Logan and Caro hit the sheets, whoa doggie was it spectacular. I think this is a great addition to the Sons of Chance series.
