“Highlight one book you have received this week (for review, from the library, purchased at the store, etc.) that you can’t wait to dig into!”

I'm going to have to pick Night Walker by Lisa Kessler. As a memeber of Lisa'a Street Team, I've receive postcards and trading cards promoting the book but now I have the book. I can't wait to read it:)

review: His Darkest Salvation - Juliana Stone

His Darkest Salvation (Jaguar Warriors, #3)His Darkest Salvation by Juliana Stone

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Julian just got back from hell – literally. He’s no longer the cool, easy going CEO that runs his family’s company, he’s hardened and become the jaguar he was always meant to be. To get out of hell, he made a deal that took a part of his soul – he’s determined to get them back and find the portal that’ll do just that. Julian never suspected that he gave up a part of his soul before he ever went to hell.

What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?

That would probably have to be Historical Romance.  I am moderately ok with something like a western romance or Medieval romance.  I can't stand Regency Historicals, I've tried them and they're like torture to me.

Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?

Hmmm, good one.  I think I'm going to go with Megan Hart - because I love her so very unique style of writing, Richelle Mead - because a great author and she's a MI girl too, and Lora Leigh - so I can tell her her stories kick A and to ask her to stop using the word WOMB.

Emma’s returned home to help her mother out with their small dairy farm and to start a new life for herself. She’s independent and determined to do things on her own and especially doesn’t want help from anyone. Q. Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?

I would have to say Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice. It was horrible. Took me over a year to read it. The movie was even worse. Ugh - horrible.

review: Diaries of an Urban Panther - Amanda Arista

Diaries of an Urban PantherDiaries of an Urban Panther by Amanda Arista

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

On her way home one evening, from a night out with her friend Jessa, Violet is attacked in the alley behind her house after checking out a disturbing noise. She wakes up to find “Stalker Boy” Chaz watching over her at his house. Violet can’t believe the new world she’s been thrust in to, but not much can get Violet down – even the snarky, moody Chaz. What she can’t believe is her supposed destiny. After trying to escape, trying to fight and accepting her new life with some help from the memories she has of her long deceased mother, Violet learns how to control her panther and is sent on her merry way. Violet thinks she can live normally, but is sorely mistaken when she causes a ruckus at a local night club.

Book Blogger Hop 7/1/2011

Book Blogger HopWhat keeps you reading beyond the first few pages of a book, and what makes you want to stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf?

I think what keeps me reading is if I want to find out more, if I like the characters and if I like how the writing flows.  I'll put one down if it's too wordy and I can't get into to the plot.

Q. ACK! Your favorite book/movie character (example Hermione Granger played by the Emma chick) just walked into the room! Who is it and what would be your first reaction? You get extra points if you include visual stimulation.

Ohhh, hard one.  I think I'm going to have to go with Kyle Kingsbury/Alex Pettyfer in Beastly.

If not him - then Legolos/Orlando Bloom from Lord of the Rings.

And as to what I'd do if I saw them, I'd probably pee myself from excitement or my heart might stop from pure AWE.  I'm sure there would be drool...
