Summary –

Second chances are sweeter than ever in Charlotte Stein’s steamy Dark Obsession series—perfect for fans of Katy Evans—as a self-reliant college girl falls for a reformed bully who’s desperate to make up for lost time.

Letty Carmichael can’t believe her eyes when she catches a glimpse of her high school tormenter, wrestling champ Tate Sullivan, on campus. College was supposed to be her escape from Tate’s constant ridicule. Now he’s in her classes again, just waiting for his chance to make her life hell. But when Letty and Tate are partnered up for an assignment—on sex in cinema, of all things—she starts to see a kinder, gentler side of him. And when she realizes Tate knows more about sex than she could ever guess at, he soon starts making her blush in a whole new way.

Tate Sullivan is haunted by regret over his cruelty toward Letty. So when she agrees to work with him, he seizes his chance to make amends. He can’t blame her for not believing he’s for real, but soon Tate starts to break down her wall. She wants to know about passion, desire, lust—topics he is well versed in. And in return she offers the one thing he always wanted: the chance to be more than just a jock.

Letty is shocked by how sensitive Tate can be. Still, desiring him feels ludicrous. Loving him is impossible. Craving him is beyond all reason. So why can’t she stop?

My Thoughts –

Never Sweeter is a powerful story of over-coming one’s past and believing in the one you love.  Written well, I liked the banter and wicked hot chemistry Letty and Tate have.

Letty doesn’t trust Tate, nor does she have a reason.  He and his friends almost killed her in a prank gone too far.  He’s changed though and although it takes a while, she eventually sees it.  Tate is cool.  He made a lot of mistakes in the past for the wrong reasons, but he’s on the road to redemption and happiness with Letty.  A simple conversation would have cleared up the initial misunderstanding, but then there wouldn’t have been a story.

I liked this story a lot.  I read it all in one day.  I didn't even know it was part of a series until writing this review.  It reads well, is fast paced and over all just great.  Awesome job to the author – keep up the good work!!

Summary –

Sarah spends her nights cruising Craigslist personal ads, dreaming of finding a romantic entry all about her. She knows who she wants, but best friend and regular hookup Jack is not the serious commitment type. Sarah's stung feelings are soothed when she begins an online-only relationship, but there's only so much of Sarah to go around. Torn between the bad boy she can't keep and the sensitive stranger who bares his soul online, her heart and body are in two very different relationships… or are they? My Thoughts –

I thought Missed Connections was hilarious!!  “Breathe it out”…are you kidding me?  I laughed a lot reading this and swooned a bit too.

Sarah was cool but seriously needed a total head alignment.  She had a shitty job, like really shitty, and took all the crap that was flung her way.  Don’t take it, fling it back.  She’s got Jack, who just because he was one way in the past doesn’t mean he’s grown up.  Give the dude a chance already.  Ahhhh!  Jack was awesome.  So alpha male but really caring and supportive at the same time.

The story was easy to read, flowed well and wasn’t cheesy.  Great read!!

Summary –

Full of swagger and sensuality, the Caldwell Brothers series—perfect for fans of Katy Evans and Emma Chase—packs an emotional punch as the last bachelor standing fights for a woman who’s worth every ounce of trouble.

Jagger Caldwell is no one’s hero. With a reputation busting heads and breaking hearts on the underground MMA circuit, he lives for easy cash and easier women. But when he stumbles upon an all-too-familiar scene, painful memories awaken Jagger’s sensitive side and compel him to act. As a kid, he stood by helplessly as his old man beat his mom. Now, Jagger won’t let seventeen-year-old Tatiana Rand suffer the same fate. Nothing matters except saving her.

Tatiana is a prisoner in her own home, at the mercy of her violent father—until an unlikely savior bursts through her door and into her life. Six-feet-plus of tattooed muscle and raw power, Jagger is no prince charming—but Tatiana stopped believing in fairy tales long ago. Despite their differences in age and, well, everything else, the sexy bad boy sparks a fire that Tatiana never knew she had—and desires that only Jagger can quench.

My Thoughts –

Once I started Jagger, I couldn’t put it down.  It’s more than just a romance and I absolutely loved it.  It was easy to read, gripping and fast paced.

Tatiana has spunk.  I think she’s a great character who’s been dealt a shitty hand in life and is just trying to get through each day.  She’s kind of too young, but I still like her a lot.  Jagger is cool.  He’s got a heart of gold and isn’t afraid to F someone up if he thinks they need it.  Great pair – again she’s kind of too young for my liking, but bygones.

Great job to the pair of writers.  I read this and didn’t realize it was #3 in a series.  I didn’t feel behind or clueless as to what was going on.  Written well, great dialogue and smokin’ hot!!
