Summary –
Ever since high school, Kayla has been crazy for gorgeous football player Talon. But before she could muster the courage to tell him, he became a hot item with her beautiful BFF, Reagan. The only person who knows Kayla’s secret is Wesley, Talon’s best bud—and he’s got it bad for Reagan. Now they’re all in college together, hanging out 24/7. For Kayla, seeing the two lovebirds together is absolutely unbearable. So Kayla and Wesley hatch a plot to drive them apart before Talon has a chance to give Reagan the Christmas gift she’s been waiting for.

Soon enough, the once happy couple is fighting. Reagan suddenly can’t get enough of Wesley’s goofy sense of humor, and Talon seems to be paying more attention to Kayla than a guy who’s “only a friend” ever should. But just when everything seems to be falling into place, Kayla and Wesley accidentally spend a night together and discover a hitch in their plan they never considered: that switching partners may not lead to a perfect ending after all. (Thanks to GoodReads.com for the summary)

My Thoughts –

Where does the story take place? A university in CA and in Spokane
Is the title a good/bad choice for the story? I think so
List the top 4 characters and 1 word to describe them each. Kayla – naive, Talon – sweet, Reagan – whiny, Wesley – grrr8t!
Give the book an alternate ending…or were you happy with it? I think it ended just fine, excellent twist
Did you cry, laugh, sigh, cringe, fume or feel nothing? I grrrred, sighed, laughed and sighed some more.

This is a great story about growing up, friendship, taking chances and falling in love. I enjoyed the fact that this wasn’t a love at first sight story – falling for each other after a day or so is just so cliché and unbelievable. I also enjoyed the fact that they were all friends and the idea that 4 friends from high school being able to all go to the same college together is pretty cool.

Kayla and Wesley are so absolutely perfect for each other. I love there dialogue together and reading about the time they spend together. Kayla was so sure that she wanted Talon for so long, I think she was stuck in a rut and didn’t know any better. Wesley was friend-zoned back in the day and was staying there – as far as Reagan was involved. Their plan to subtlely break up their friends was doomed from the start and a bad idea all around. Somewhere thoughm they fell for each other along the way – unbeknownst to one another. Communication people, s’all I’m sayin’.

Cute story, easy to read and couldn’t put it down. I loved it. I’d definitely read more form this author in the future. Great job!!
