Summary –
Bellamy Carmichael’s finally come home after staying away for six years.
There’s just one problem, Luke Carter…
Six years ago she seduced him, but a realization had him turning his back on her and became the cause of her long exodus. But with her brother’s imminent deployment Bellamy knows she’s bound to see him.
Luke Carter made the mistake of crossing a line he never should’ve crossed six years ago…
He knows he’s the reason why Bellamy avoids home, and with her coming back home he’s hoping to make things right. He just wasn’t expecting her to look so damn beautiful.
However, there’s one more problem, Bellamy’s been keeping a secret from Luke for past six years. When passion builds between them she knows that she must tell Luke the truth, but will it bring them closer together?
Or will it drive them apart for good? (Thanks to GoodReads.com for the summary)
My Thoughts –
I thoroughly enjoyed Starting Over and really connected with its
characters and storyline. This story is
easy to read, runs at a smooth pace and does not disappoint. It’s got a little bit of everything: great
families, astronomical secrets, danger/suspense and lots of hot wicked lovin’.
I love this rekindling of Luke and Bellamy’s relationship. Was it right for Bellamy to keep such a
profound secret? Probably not, but with
the way she was treated – I’m not sure I would have done anything
different. He completely broke her
heart. I think this pair is a match made
to last forever. I also think they
needed their time apart, maybe not quite so long, but they needed it nonetheless.
It helped them grow and become the
people they were supposed to be. Lake
and Bellamy sure were burnin’ up the sheets together. LOVED IT!!
I think what made this story a top rating for me was their families. Everyone made me fall in love with this story
so much more. Dylan and Dustin, hello –
yum. Can’t wait for their turn. I like the various POV’s in the story,
telling just a little bit more of story that you can’t get from a single POV. All around great job!!
** I already read Second Chances (Dustin’s story) and it rocked my
socks. I’m so looking forward to Dylan’s
tale.
