Summary -
Sent to the family ranch to overcome his addiction, Taylor Reese is angry and hurt. Feeling rejected by his father and brother, Taylor throws himself into ranch life to help him forget. But it isn’t long before it hits him hard how much his life has spiraled out of control, leaving him floundering and looking for a lifeline.

Libby Karlin is cautious, wary of Taylor’s presence. Her dark past makes her reluctant to let anyone near her family. But after Taylor strikes up a friendship with her son, Libby finds herself drawn to the sadness within him. His experiences are no secret to her, though she keeps her own buried until a knock on her door has her gasping for breath.

Could dealing with their pasts really give them a future?  (Thanks to GoodReads for the summary)

My Thoughts -

It took me a while to get into this story. I eventually got into it and finished it. I think Taylor acted like a little B for a lot of the book. The relationship/romance between Libby and Taylor is eventual and full of promise. Their coming together is more realistic than in most romance books. It's not love at first sight and they really take the time to got to know one another. I also liked reading about Levi and Taylor a lot.

I didn't feel lost reading it, as it's book #2 in the Reluctance series. The dialogue was good and it wasn't too wordy with the descriptions. Easy to read and follow. Good job. I look forward to more in the series and form this author!!
