I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns, and driving in trucks.

I never expected to be an author. A massage therapist? Yes. Take over the family construction company? Yes. But an author? No. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.

Since I’ve always been a creative person, it feels amazing to harness all of that energy and use it to tell a story I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write. What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell—what would be the fun in that?

If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.

I’m twenty four years old. I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside of Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns and riding in trucks. I’ve been married to my handsome redneck husband for a year and we are parents to our chocolate fur baby, Bear. No kiddo’s yet! I am completely and utterly obsessed with country music, you will constantly find me stalking iTunes. If you don’t find me on iTunes, you’ll find me on Netflix because I am a self proclaimed movie junkie. Yes, that means that I quote them constantly in daily conversation and my characters do too! You couldn’t keep me away from a good action movie if you tried. I’m also a planning nut. I love to plan parties, events, trips – you name it! I don’t know if that’s considered a real hobby, but it is for me.

We were fortunate enough to travel a lot as a family growing up, and I think that helped spark my love of reading. I’m half Viking, my mom is Danish, and her entire side of the family still lives in Denmark. We’d visit them almost once a year, every year and it’s a nine hour flight. That’s a lot of uninterrupted time to read (or in my parent’s case, entertain four children – Yikes!). Somewhere along the way my love of reading, became a love of writing. I wrote short stories when I was younger, and although I majored in Business Management at college, I took as many English electives I could get my hands on.

During the day I work at my family construction company wearing a variety of different hats and at night, I write! I had never thought about writing books before, but after a few suggestions that I should try, I decided to give it a go. I loved it instantly! Having always been a creative person, it felt amazing to harness all that energy and use it to tell a story. Now, quite frankly it’s all I can think about, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m grateful to have developed my love of reading into a passion for writing. You’ll be seeing many more books from me in the future!

My Thoughts:

I think Choosing Henley is a great way to spend an afternoon. It's an OMG smokin' hawt quick read about two people who are perfect for one another and just haven't realized it yet. I am not so fond of the cover. It shows a dude smoking and as far as i could tell - Jami didn't smoke. Maybe a guy with a guitar minus a shirt would have been better. (I personally love the pic above of the guy on the kitchen in his undies, perfecto!!)

Jami and Beatle are great characters. Jami's your typical man whore, doing anyone he can until the girl he really wants will have him. Lennon is scarred from an experience that happened when she was younger. They each grow and really discover what it is they want out of life, each-other.

I love Jami's attitude - "You're going to love me Beatle. Fight it all you want, but when this clock counts down a year form now, you'll be mine for good. Just you wait and see." I love it. He's so gung-ho about working it out with Lennon and you never see him waiver or revert to his old ways. Lennon at times is just so cynical and full of self doubt, she kind of needs a slap. My "like" for her was renewed when she punched Malibu Barbie.

This is an excellent read. Easy to follow, understand and love. I see that it's #2 in a series, but I didn't feel out of the loop while reading. Great job tot he author and I am for-surely looking forward to more in this series!
