review: His Darkest Salvation - Juliana Stone

His Darkest Salvation (Jaguar Warriors, #3)His Darkest Salvation by Juliana Stone

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Julian just got back from hell – literally. He’s no longer the cool, easy going CEO that runs his family’s company, he’s hardened and become the jaguar he was always meant to be. To get out of hell, he made a deal that took a part of his soul – he’s determined to get them back and find the portal that’ll do just that. Julian never suspected that he gave up a part of his soul before he ever went to hell.

Jaden knows Julian’s been gone for over six months and she’s broken into his apartment to find any kind of clue that could lead to finding either him or the portal to hell. As the result of a night she’d never forget three year ago, Jaden and Julian are bonded mates – but a Castille jaguar would never purposely mate a DeCosta, they’re enemies.

Julian finds Jaden and all hell breaks loose from the get go. After finding out she’s actually a good guy, they travel back to the rainforest to search for the portal. Jaden and Julian can’t fight their need or attraction for each other even though Julian knows it’ll never last. Julian knows that his time topside is due to end any day and that his soul is owned by the one he made the deal with.

I think this is an excellent story. It has lots of action, imminent danger and the steamy hot lovin’. It’s easy to feel empathy for Julian when he tries to fight his feelings for Jaden. It’s also very easy to feel Jaden’s hurt and longing for a man that she thinks doesn’t want her. Parts of the story are heart breaking and others are smokin’ hot. The action/danger element to the story really worked and drew me in. I thought the writing was easy to read and not too wordy. I’m looking forward to the next series from Juliana Stone which includes some of the characters form this one.
