Summary –

Dean had a family once. Until tragedy and betrayal consumed them. Now he lives on his own terms keeping life simple and carefree. Then one night leads to one bite and he's forced back into a dangerous world that reminds him he's still as angry as ever and this time he's not leaving until he gets what he wants. Niki.

Niki Harris has lived a life of secrets and solitude with no interest in making a change. But an easy one night stand turns complicated and she finds herself marked. Now she has to decide, tell the sexy shifter with a possessive streak a mile wide she's pregnant and in danger or do what she's always done--run.

Be Were is the full story from the free first chapter bonus, White Cougar Christmas. (Thanks to GoodReads.com for the summary)

My Thoughts –

Be Were is a steamy story about two people looking for a hot one nighter and ending up with more they ever knew they wanted.  Both characters are resigned to the fact that they’ll never mate, have a family and find happiness.  They never expected one night of hot smexy time to turn into a lifelong bond and family, oh well – stuff happens.

I enjoyed the story of Niki and Dean.  They were good characters and they hat some wicked hot chemistry between the two of them for sure.  I thoroughly liked the world the author created here.  The action/danger element was interesting, could have been more developed, but then this is book 5 in a series.  I think to really grasp the level of danger, the other 4 book must be read before.  You can definitely tell this is part of a series.  I this the title of the book should be larger than the author’s name, but maybe that’s just me.  I look forward to more in this series and from this author!!  Great job.
